How We Work

Each engagement at Bodhi Legal begins with a clear written statement of scope and fee, signed by both parties before any work begins. The client knows what will be produced, what the timeline is likely to be, and what the fixed cost is.

Work is conducted personally by the supervising solicitor, with assistance from the research associate for document compilation and correspondence management. The client is kept informed at each significant stage — not simply when the final outcome is known.

At the conclusion of each service, a written document is produced for the client. This may be an eligibility timeline, an outcome explanation, or a note on remaining options. These documents are designed to be kept, shared with family, and re-read — not filed away.

Service 01

Documentary Review & Eligibility Assessment

A careful read-through of the client's pension records, employment history, and any decision letters received from pension authorities. The work includes drawing up a written eligibility timeline, identifying which contribution periods may have been overlooked, and producing a short note that explains the client's apparent entitlement in plain language.

The assessment is presented as a working document the client may keep, share with family members, or carry into a future meeting with another adviser. No further commitment is required after this service — the document is the client's to use as they see fit.

What is included:

  • Review of pension records and employment history
  • Identification of overlooked contribution periods
  • Written eligibility timeline (client keeps a copy)
  • Plain-language entitlement summary note
  • Note on apparent next steps, if any

Process steps:

1

Client supplies pension records, employment history, and any correspondence received

2

Solicitor conducts detailed review and maps contribution timeline

3

Written eligibility timeline and entitlement note prepared

4

Meeting to discuss findings, followed by delivery of the written document

Documentary Review

Pension Reinstatement

Service 02

Pension Reinstatement Support

A focused service for clients whose pension payments have been suspended, withdrawn, or significantly reduced. The work covers compilation of supporting documentation, drafting of a formal request for reinstatement, correspondence with the pension authority throughout the review, and a written explanation of the outcome whenever a decision is communicated.

Where the matter is not resolved through correspondence, the next steps available are described in writing so the client may consider them at an unhurried pace.

What is included:

  • Compilation of supporting documentation
  • Formal reinstatement request — drafted and submitted
  • Ongoing authority correspondence managed by Bodhi Legal
  • Written explanation of each decision or outcome
  • Written note on available next steps if unresolved

Process steps:

1

Gather and compile client documentation relevant to the suspension or reduction

2

Draft formal reinstatement request and submit to the pension authority

3

Manage all correspondence during the authority review period

4

Deliver written explanation of decision and available options to the client

Service 03

Tribunal Hearing Representation

A complete representation service for pension disputes that have reached a formal administrative tribunal. The work includes preparation of the bundle of evidence, drafting of written submissions, witness coordination where relevant, and direct representation at the hearing itself.

The client is briefed in writing on the structure of the hearing and the points expected to be addressed. After the tribunal's decision is published, a short written note explains the outcome and the routes still available, so the client may consider them calmly before responding.

What is included:

  • Evidence bundle preparation
  • Drafting of written submissions to the tribunal
  • Witness coordination (where relevant)
  • Direct representation at the hearing
  • Written pre-hearing briefing for the client
  • Written post-decision note on outcome and remaining options

Process steps:

1

Review all existing documents and prepare the evidence bundle

2

Draft written submissions and coordinate witnesses where needed

3

Brief client in writing on hearing structure and expected points

4

Attend and represent the client at the tribunal hearing

5

Deliver written explanation of decision and available routes forward

Professional Standards Across All Services

Strict Confidentiality

All client documents, records, and communications are held confidentially and not disclosed to third parties outside the requirements of the pension matter itself.

PDPA Compliance

Data is handled in accordance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act. Clients retain rights over their personal information throughout the engagement.

Proportionate Advice

Where a matter does not appear strong, clients are told so, clearly and in writing. We do not encourage proceedings unlikely to lead to a useful outcome.

Written Scope Agreement

Before any work begins, the scope, fee, and expected process are confirmed in writing by both parties. Nothing begins until this is agreed.

Timeline Communication

Expected timelines are provided at the outset of each engagement and updated if circumstances change during the work.

Language Accessibility

Services are delivered in English. Thai language interpretation is available for clients who prefer it, at no additional charge.

Service Fees

All fees are fixed and stated before work begins. There are no additions beyond the agreed amount.
